What time is pick-up from Patong, Kata and Karon?
Pick-up for Phi Phi is usually between 7:00 and 7:30. The exact time depends on your hotel zone and on the order of the minivan’s route, so we send it to you on WhatsApp the day before, together with your voucher. Maya Bay rules you should know before leaving Patong
- No swimming in Maya Bay: you walk on the beach and can paddle at the water’s edge.
- Boats moor at a pontoon in Loh Samah Bay and you walk to the beach on a boardwalk (about 5–10 minutes).
- Maya Bay closes every year from 1 August to 30 September; in 2026 it reopened on 1 October.
- Only reef-safe sunscreen is allowed in Thai national parks.

Speedboat day or a calmer alternative?
The Phi Phi crossing is in open sea, so the ride can be bumpy. Speedboats are not recommended for pregnant women, babies or people with back or neck problems. Tips for a smooth Phi Phi day
- Wear your swimsuit under your clothes and pack a towel and a change of clothes.
- If you are prone to seasickness, take a tablet 30 to 60 minutes before boarding and sit towards the back of the boat.
- Book Phi Phi early in your stay: if the weather cancels a trip, you still have days to reschedule.
- From December to February, the busiest period, book a few days in advance.
