- Phi Phi: pick-up usually 7:00–7:30, boat around 9:00, about 10 hours door to door. Details in Phi Phi tour from Patong.
- James Bond Island: the piers on the east and north-east coast are about 45 minutes to 1 hour by road from Patong; the bay is sheltered, so it runs all year. See James Bond Island guide.
- Similan Islands: boats leave from the Khao Lak area, north of Phuket, so the day is long (around 6:00–7:00 to early evening). The park is open from 15 October 2026 to 15 May 2027.
- Coral and Racha: from Patong, Kata, Karon or Rawai the drive to the pier is usually short. See Racha and Coral Island.

- FantaSea and Carnival Magic are in Kamala, about 10 km north of Patong (roughly 15–20 minutes by car). At the time of writing (2026), FantaSea opens on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday, Carnival Magic on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.

- Rafting takes place on a jungle river in Phang Nga province, so count on a longer drive; Skyline ziplining is a short drive from the west-coast beaches.
